ABOUT THE CONFERENCE:
For the third time since 2004 the FinLab (Financial Laboratory at the London Stock Exchange) will be holding its annual conference for a large number of Russian, Ukrainian and Central Asian companies planning to raise capital in London in 2006-2007.
Hosted by the London Stock Exchange, the conference aims to answer some practical questions concerning the "Russian & CIS IPO boom" and sustainability of demand for the Russian and CIS assets.
Presently a total of 10 companies with a large proportion of their assets in Russia are listed on the London Stock Exchange’s Main Market. In January 2006 the Exchange’s member firms traded a record $14.8 billion of Russian securities, an increase of 328 per cent on the same period last year. Trading in Russian securities represented around 69 per cent of the total trading volume on the International Order Book (IOB) in January 2006. In April 2006 there were 27 companies with the CIS focus listed on AIM. According to some expert predictions, the Russian companies alone will be seeking to raise around 10 billion USD in London this year, comparing to 5 billion in 2005. The number of listings in Russia is also predicted to double. |

- Will the optimistic forecasts be substantiated by the real listings and when?
- Who are these Russian/CIS companies and can they meet investors’ expectations?
- Will the demand for Russian and CIS IPOs continue to rise?
- What is the next “hot” thing coming from the CIS. Will this be Real Estate, hi-tech, or…?
- Are the Russian/CIS mid-caps ready for London listing?
- IPO – at what price and where. How London IPO rates against local listings?
CONFERENCE AUDIENCE (based on previous events): Chairmen, Presidents, Chief Executives, Chief Financial Officers, Chief Operating Officers, Communications and IR Directors, Commercial Directors, Marketing Directors, Accountants, Analysts, Auditors, Nominated Advisers, Investment bankers, Brokers, Heads of Business Development, Chief Analysts, Consultants, Eastern Economists, Emerging markets specialists, Head of Equities, Lawyers, Partners, Strategists, Solicitors, Underwriters, Asset Managers and Investment Fund Directors. |
